Yahoo Web Hosting isn’t one of the oldest hosts in the industry, but they are a name that we all know simple because of their search engine. To keep it simple, Yahoo is a bigger company who has stepped into the web hosting market in an effort to expand their services.
However, Yahoo still has to prove that they are worthy of being recommended to our visitors. Therefore, I’m about to give them a run for their money during this web hosting review. 🙂

PRICE VALUE

The cheapest price that I can find on Yahoo web hosting is $7.46 per month when you pay for a year. This is one of the more expensive hosts in the industry, and they really don’t offer anything different than the affordable hosting providers that have been featured here on Web Hosting Billboard.
Keeping what I just said into consideration, Yahoo has to do better for me to give them good marks on this review factor.

We already know that Yahoo web hosting is higher priced than most of our top hosts here. Let’s see if their features make up for it or if Yahoo is just overpriced.

Yahoo web hosting isn’t really that much different than the other web hosting plans that come at a much more affordable cost. I hate to say it, wait no I don’t, Yahoo is overpriced. Looks like they let their ego get ahead of them on this one.

PERFORMANCE

You would think that Yahoo only uses the latest technology for their web hosting. However, this is something that I can’t verify since they don’t have anyone there on the weekends to take care of any prospective customers that might start to drop by.
However, I have seen numerous consumer reviews which stated that they are slower than most host. Looks like I’ll have to rely on that during this review, even though I would have felt more comfortable if they staffed their sales communication as per industry standards.

RELIABILITY

The Yahoo web hosting site claims to provide 99.9% uptime. However, I have come across way too many Yahoo customers who experienced downtime constantly. Looks like Yahoo can’t make their customers happy by providing a reliable web hosting service.
Back when I was working on PPC, I got to experience Yahoo’s support team personally. From what I’ve heard, it’s just as good with their web hosting too. You can get online support, e-mail support, and toll free support any time of the day or night.
Looks like Yahoo has their grip when it comes to providing their clients with technical support, when they actually need it.

LOVE FACTOR

There are many other affordable and reliable web hosting providers that simply give you more than what Yahoo small business web hosting gives you. Sure, this is one of the biggest internet companies around, but that doesn’t mean they are the best choice in the web hosting industry.
